Hi... I am back... Can't sleep...

My last entry on this blog was 3 years and 9 months ago.

Today is 1st June 2014 and I am suffering from insomnia. Lots of thoughts were sending my mind into overdrive and I decided 3:42 am would be an ideal time to pick 1 of my 5 blogs to start documenting my life.

With my terrible memory, I suspect I will forget all the amazingly good and bad things which happened. Hence I am writing here so when the opportunity arise - I can share them with my friends and family (especially my kids and grand kids).

I experienced and achieved so much things since I returned home to Singapore from America and I don't regret any of my decisions up till now. I see a new milestone just along the horizon and decided to take a leap of faith.

My personality was never submissive and nobody could ever determine my path in life, not even my parents.
I was extremely rebellious during my school days up until I enlisted into National Service (NS). In the past, I played truant to an extend where I am absent from classes because I did not enjoy studies and my terrible relationship with my peers in school did not help one bit. In short, I call the shots on everything (education, career path, beliefs and values) in my life and in my opinion - it should apply to everyone. Don't let others (not even your loved ones) mold you into who you should be or determine what you should do in life.

Playing computer games was my only past time. Being immersed in the virtual world allowed me to express and understand myself so much better compared to living in reality. I would be lying if I said I had no regrets in that period of my life but gaming did have it's positive contributions to who I am today - for example, I improved my language proficiency and communication skills through gaming.

TRUST ME! End of the day, to become comfortable at public speaking or even day to day conversations with people will require more than simply just typing in front of the computer. There's so much more I liked to record about my pre-NS life, but let's stop here and summarize in point form what I had been up to since I got home.
