DIAL 911 NOW!
I went missing in action here for almost 2 weeks, I banged myself up pretty badly while skating - America isn't safe even when you're being very cautious. In case you wanted to know, it happened along Ocean Park Boulevard.A lady was kind enough to stop her and call 911 for me, fire department came in 10 minutes and after some quick evaluation and wash-up... the ambulance arrived and off to Santa Monica Medical Center Emergency Room (ER).
Was lying in the treatment room with nurses & doctors coming in on and off checking my injuries (broken tooth, bunch of abrasion and some laceration), washing my wounds, giving me shot/medication and stitching my chin. Believe i got there at 6pm and I left the hospital at midnight.
Six agonizing hours especially the time when anti-bacteria fluids were poured on my hands and arms and I had to have them rinsed and scrubbed with sponge. If you don't have a high pain threshold like me, you better not end up in my shoes else you'll in for an awesome time.
Guess I have the full experience of America on my trip which includes a ride on an ambulance (first time in life) and being admitted in ER. It was something new & refreshing... hahaha i still prefer not to experience it if given a choice!
I'm very lucky & grateful I had no fractured or broken bones else it's seriously going to affect my project in SESI!
End of story and here are some slightly disturbing images, self discretion advised!
5 stitches on my chin, the last time i gotten stitches was for wisdom tooth - first one in America!
